Before viewing the sense in VR, we need to set the Start Position to pick the location where VR navigation will start from. A human model is loaded into the scene, which will represent the Viewer during the VR experience. Click anywhere to position the navigator, and use any of the draggers / transformation tools to fix its position.
To learn about navigating scenes in desktop mode, check this tutorial, for VR mode check this one.
Another way of navigating scenes in VR is using VR Camera, from the 360 Image menu. Creating a number of cameras at different locations in the 3D scene, then enabling the VR camera icon to activate large scene navigation mode, will show the cameras in the scene (similar to x-ray) which allows the user to navigate to the selected one, as shown in the image below.
VR camera navigation is described at the end of this tutorial.
To quickly position the viewer start, press “N” on your keyboard, then click on the ground to snap the Character to the desired location.
You can then rotate the character to determine the angle at which the viewer will start.
