Simulation Workbench

 
 
The Simulation Workbench can be available and accessed based on the acquired license. If you have already purchased the corresponding license, you can find this workbench on the Workbenches Bar within SimLab Composer GUI (For more information about "Ordering and License", see related section later in this manual).
 
 
You can now use SimLab Composer 2015 (SP1) to model the behaviors of objects in 3-D space. Thanks to its powerful physics engine that allows simulation of the way bodies of many types are affected by a variety of physical stimuli, provided to simulate physical systems such as Rigid-Body Dynamics in real-time and considering collision detection. The Simulation Workbench is dedicated for executing physical and mechanical simulations within SimLab Composer application.  It is designed in such a way that helps you easily create and simulate complex mechanisms which can be imported from various file formats supported by SimLab Composer.
 
 
 
as shown in the following image the workspace of the Simulation Workbench when the Solids panel is active by default. The workspace presents the Simulation toolbar, the Geometries Tree, Solids Tree, and the Links Tree. The Simulation toolbar is placed at the top of the application window that displays a large collection of commands in a visual layout through a tabbed interface, the Geometries Tree is placed on the left-side, while the Solids Tree is grouped with the Links Tree on the right-side.
 
                                           
 
           
The Geometries Tree only appears when the Solids Tab is selected.
 
 
 
The Simulation Tool composed of four menus, use these menus to navigate and switch among the sets of widgets. Solids are defined in the Solids menu. In the Links menu, solids properties and relationships between each other are set  Finally, the simulation is controlled and performed in the Simulation and interactive menu:
 
  • Solids menu: Geometries are defined and classified, where each solid contains either one geometry or a group of geometries.
  • Links menu: Properties of solids and relationships between each other are set.
  • Simulation menu: Where simulation is controlled and executed.
  • Interactive menu: to allow the user to control machines using a Keyboard, or a Joystick..
